Fort Gibson Lake

Fort Gibson Lake is a reservoir located in northeastern Oklahoma, USA. It was created in 1942 by the damming of the Grand River. The lake covers a surface area of 19,900 acres and has a shoreline of 225 miles. The lake is located in Cherokee, Wagoner, and Muskogee counties and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and hiking. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish including bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish. There are several parks and campgrounds located around the lake, including Sequoyah Bay State Park and Taylor's Ferry North and South campgrounds.
